What do you love about The Episcopal Church?
I love the presence of Grace that welcomes, heals, and restores through the liturgy, the recognition of God in all things and all peoples, the sacraments, the Baptismal Covenant where we are marked with the sign of the cross and sealed as God’s own forever (the Brenda Zedlitz translation).
What do you think All Saints’/Todos los Santos provides our Northwest Arkansas community, and Bentonville in particular?
The Lord’s Table (literally and figuratively) where all are welcome and there is plenty for everyone. We don’t exclude or run out of room; we just build a bigger table.
What are you most excited about at All Saints’/Todos los Santos?
Two things: 1) The palpable energy and enthusiasm at this time in our congregational life and; 2) Pathway to Home establishing the path, plan, and strategy toward the future home of All Saints. It feels to me that we are emerging into the light after a period of pruning (and mourning the losses from that season). As someone who’s been here since Day #1, I’ve seen a lot of exciting things but I I think our best days are just ahead of us.
What’s something interesting about you that most people wouldn’t know just by seeing you on Sunday morning?
I am an adrenaline junkie and my favorite “fix” so far is tandem skydiving!
